Children’s Book Festival

Bantry Library

The annual Children’s Book Festival takes place at Bantry Library throughout October. Well-known children’s author, Jane Mitchell will be at the library on Thursday, October 13th at 12:30pm while award-winning poet, Tony Curtis is there on Wednesday, October 19th at 10:30am.
 
A storytime for 4-8 year olds takes place each Saturday morning during October at 11am (except Sat. 29th when the library will be closed for the bank holiday weekend). Cork County Council Library & Arts Services are also running a Design a Library Card competition which will give budding designers an opportunity to have their artwork featured on the Cork County Library’s 2012 Children’s library membership card. Entrants must be a library member and prizes will be awarded in three different age categories.
